10-09-11 - Racoon Micro Weft Hair Extensions

SHB are well known for their skills in applying Racoon Bonded Hair Extensions but we now have a new version of hair extensions that are taking the industry by storm. Racoon Micro Weft Extensions are a temporary extension that last up to a month before they need to be refitted. Racoon Micro Wefts are a very cost effective way of getting instant results and you no longer need to sit in the chair for most of the day as they only take an hour or so to fit. We can match the extensions to your hair colour for a seamless blend between your hair and the extensions.

So, what is the cost??
A full head of Racoon Micro Weft Extensions costs £260. That price includes the hair itself, shampoo, condition and detox, fitting and blending, extension specific shampoo and conditioner for you to take home and a special brush to help take care of your extensions.

How long do they last??
Assuming you take good care of your extensions they will last up to a month. 2 weeks after your initial fitting you will need to return to the salon for a complimentary 'check up'. We will shampoo and condition and detox your hair and check for any extensions that may have come loose and re fit them. A week or two later you will need to return to the salon so we can remove them for you. Once removed we detox and remove the old tape and re tape the extensions ready for re fitting. This appointment is normally about 2 hours to remove and refit. Once again, after 2 weeks of wear you will return to the salon for your complimentary 'check up'. The cost of removal and refitting is £65.

Racoon have trained 3 of our stylists so there should always be someone available to help at a time that suits you best.

Depending on the care you take your extensions can be re fitted up to 3 times which gives you at least 12 weeks of long beautiful hair. For more information or a free consultation feel free to pop into the salon and we will be more than happy to help you.

After more than a year away Rachel is returning to SHB Hair and Beauty. She will be working Wednesdays, Thursdays (including the late night) and fridays. If you used to visit Rachel or would like her to do your hair for you just call the salon on 01736 360622 to make your appointment.

09-02-11 - TIGI Hair Colour

This is a very exciting moment for us at SHB. We are changing our colour provider to TIGI Colour. We already use and endorse TIGI Shampoo and Conditioner and Styling Products so we thought that as TIGI design their products to work with, protect and enhance their own colour system it would be a great idea to actually use their colour. The educational benefits are very exciting as well as we will be able to take full advantage of the TIGI educational team to really push the boundaries of hair cutting colouring and styling. The change will take place in early March 2011 following an intensive training course for all of our stylists and colourists. If you are an existing colour client of SHB we would like to ask that you pop in for a skin test prior to your next appointment. Obviously we recognise the fact that we have a duty of care to look after your welfare and it would be reckless to avoid this important and necessary part of our service.
